PUBLIC ASKS WHO IS NEXT

THOUSANDS GONE, MANY MORE IRRADIATED AS COBALT BOMB
STRIKES REVERE; GOVERNMENT AT A LOSS

America looks on in horror as most of Revere, Wyoming is reduced to blue ash overnight. The bomb detonated at 3:55 a.m. and flattened a sizable portion of town. Residents in far view of Revere report bright blue flashes and shaking of the earth, with those closer experiencing temporary blindness and serious property damage. Survivors in Revere exhibit serious blue burns on their bodies. Dense plumes of smoke emerged from the flattened rubble when sunlight rose across the town this morning. It is disputed if the bomb was dropped via plane or delivered by ground.
The U.S. Department of Defense estimates about 2,700 of the town's 3,076 population perished in the blast, with thousands more experiencing the detrimental effects of the explosion directly. President Allison delivered an emergency speech early this morning (More on pg. 3) addressing the matter. The government advises all living within a 100 mile radius of the town's center to evacuate until an all-clear is given to return.
Many panic as the public demands answers for who is responsible, and if and when they will strike again. Some residents are seen fleeing towns and cities alike, expecting more attacks at any moment.

SOVIETS DENY INVOLVEMENT
----------
By RICHARD STEIN
The burning question in everyone's mind today is the suspicion of an attack from the Soviet Union. Before even being accused by the United States, Secretary Blanter made a statement early this morning denying any and all involvement with the incident. Surely, this must raise the eyebrows of the American populace and, by extent, many in our government. The Soviet Union has been known to have access to these experimental for almost as long as the U.S. has. Our government accusing the Soviets of carrying out this attack can only strengthen our position against them.
